October 07, 2009 3:21am The concrete structure provides a very interesting counterpoint to the model, with its hard, uniform surface, yet it has curving, almost elegant lines which also serve as a surreal complement to her. There is a curious empathy between them in that dramatic wilderness landscape, its cinematic, sepia tone and ominous, cloudy sky putting me in mind of landscapes in classic gothic films (Universal horror, David Lean's Dicken's adaptations, Wuthering Heights, etc).
