I love the simplicity of this photo. Looks like you could be just in a backyard but your expression adds more to the story. It invokes the feeling of untrustworthy.
Almost like the viewer is there but isn't trusted by you.
June 19, 2013 10:08am The lighting is fantastic, and the look in your eye does send a signal of emotion. What it is is open to the viewer.
I do think that this photo would have more impact if more bokeh was used. A lower aperture setting such as a 1.8 on a 50mm prime would had blurred the background and made your eyes the soul focus, I think the background is too busy. JMYHO
