Ok, I just couldn't resist; I added a good bit of fill flash in photoshop elements, and it looked pretty good. Dark but visible and evocative. I must have too much time on my hands.

A dark shot can be effective, but this needs a bit more light. That can be easily done methinks in a photo editor. Just a bit.
