December 31, 2008 2:18am Haunting and awesomely dramatic! My interpretation would be ... hmmm ... they are the same woman. The woman at the hourglass bottom sits in her chair, having slashed her wrists, and waits to die as her blood pools up around her; As ther blood and life leaks away, her soul awakes to eternal Life above ... freed finally of both her body AND freed from worldly Time. It's a happy ending! Just ... visually dark, somewhat. But y'know, before there were stars there was the darkness, and when the stars finally burn away there will be darkness again. darkness is the Divine and the Eternal, and Darkness is the happy ending to our moths-to-the-flame craving after bright (but lying) Illusion!
