In truth, the dress itself, alone, forgetting the wonderful model beneath, could be an abstract in line, form and tone...the lines of your neck in back and in front rising as delicately as morning fog from a lake to meet the flawless and equally delicate lines of your face. The slightly turbulent hair holds the face dominant and balances with the shadows of the dress below. The delicate hair on both sides of your face is magical and the earring cannot be touched or changed without losing the entire portrait. The eyes, then, bright but pastel, are the entire focus of this image and the expression lets us somehow know, even firmly, that there is soul within.
