About Me

My Background
I've been in love with photography for ages... but I've spent the most recent years shooting portraits, product & commercial objects, fitness/wellness and Yoga subjects of all sorts in both journalistic and posed/studio contexts. I also have been invited to shoot musical artists and live bands. I am a certified Yoga instructor (500+ hour certificates) although no longer teaching.

My Availability
Part-time: I can do weekdays if I can plan ahead but usually Friday-Sunday would be when I would schedule projects involving a model.

Trade vs Paid
I prefer to pay models that I ask to work with me both because I value your time/cooperation and it helps to make the agreement clear. I do use pretty standard model release forms; however, I'm also willing to collaborate for trade on projects if you have something in mind. We'll be clear on ownership/rights before the session. If you're working to build your portfolio, I'm willing to help with that too.

My Interests & Target Styles
I am really interested in projects that will stretch me or take me to new creative places. My photography is an expression of what I see that I think deserves to be seen. If your heart is in the right place and you have an interesting project in mind, I would really love to see if we can work together. I don't do explicit photos and I don't have an excessively dark style. If I ask you to help me on a project, I hope that you will challenge me to give you a reasonably clear picture of what I have in mind so that we're both on the same page.

Depends on what we're working on. Sometimes the client or the project dictates the location and/or set - but I neither run nor rent a regular studio. I have occasionally rented space for specific shoots but I'm pretty happy to shoot anywhere - with studio lights, indoors or out in nature within reason. I probably won't ask you to travel, but if I do then it'd likely be within a 90 mile radius of Colorado Springs. We'd work out travel to your satisfaction: in case you'd feel more comfortable traveling separately I would budget to reimburse you for travel time and mileage costs.

Hair / Makeup
Again, this depends what we're working on and sometimes the client; however, if we need hair/MUA then I will usually pay for that out of the project budget but for most projects that I've done you would have needed to arrive pretty much ready to shoot.

Your Safety & Support
You're the boss with your comfort and safety. I will do my best to accommodate you and
you're welcome to bring support, within reason (not a team) if you'd like - if it helps you, that's great with me but they shouldn't be distracting or intimidating.
