BEAUTY... what is beauty really...?

who decides...?
the beholder?
the others around you?
society?
Magasines and television?

What makes one woman more beautiful than another?
her genetic gifts?
her relentless race to be perfect?
The suffering she is willing to go through to please others?

what defines beauty...
What of the quest for perfection...
what is perfect... who decides?

perfection is death if you ask me..perfection is boring.
Perfection is a trap of the Ego
and Ego is what kills you slowly from the inside
and takes you further away from the great work

True beauty resides not only in this envelope of flesh everyone seems to give so much importance to these days...almost to the point of making me want to throw up sometimes...

true beauty to me...shines through the eyes...true beauty is invisible and timeless...it cannot be seen, it can only be felt...as a soft warm glow that envelops you and makes you feel happy to be alive when you are in the presence of it.
Beauty is health. You may have a body with zero body fat but if you got it because of drugs or alcohol, then that's not beautiful to me.
Because no matter how perfect you make your body look, no matter how hard you try to make it perfect...if the content of it is empty and useless...then you are nothing but a walking piece of meat...and to me, meat is disgusting.

My body...
is like the prisoner being taken in front of the Judge
As I walk towards him, I am thinking
Will he release me? or condemn me?
my body
can be my salvation or my condemnation
it depends how far I am willing to go
to make it perfect to the eyes of the beholder

And what of my mind...?

As a woman, I am expected to be quiet
docile and silent, delicate and beautiful
never to ask questions, to speak only when I am spoken to
Women are expected to be submissive

but I say...  NEVER

for I unlike so many
will never fall into the pit of society
of souless zombies and carboard beauties
plastic dreams and toxic reality

so feel free to see me as an object of beauty
but never forget...that I am so much more than that...
