About me

Hi,

I'm from Bucharest, Romania and moved to the UK about 2 years ago study, but photography is my passion, it is what I want to do when I get up in the morning and what makes me go to sleep as late as I can. I'm trying to nurish it during my little free time from Uni and work and I plan on going on a 2nd degree once the current one is done, but the following one will be in Photography .

I go back to Romania/Bucharest once or twice a year so I'm available for collaborations there as well. If you're interested, leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I consider myself to be barely beginning in the world of photography so I'm looking to get as much experience in the field as possible and expand my portfolio. I'm interested in working with energetic and innovative fellow enthusiasts. I preferre location shots to studio work and believe that working with open-minded people will open up the possibilities of a photoshoot and we can break from classic studio-type shots.

When it comes to photographic style, I'm interested in photos involving Gothic atmosphere, burlesque, fantasy, bodypainting, avant garde, couture, fashion, classic portraiture and abstract artwork. I'm happy to dabble in just about any type of photography for the love of an idea and having the experience, but please note that the exception to this rule is nude/partially nude/lingerie photos. I'm not interested in those styles and don't know if I ever will.

I can't afford to pay for models yet since I'm supporting myself through Uni, therefore I can only do TFP or TFCD work, but I'm happy to pay for travel for the models when the photograph calls for it. I can also put models up for a couple of nights and offer good company for the time they're down here. I live in a shared student house so there's no way of getting bored smile

I'm happy to travle to Oxford at any time and can sometimes travel to different locations (depending on my budget at the time) or to the model's home town. I think it would be fun and interesting to visit new places and I'd love to see a few locations before the shoot so we can decide on a specific place and type of photo. Those type of trips would have to be during during vacations from Uni.

I'm happy to help others build up their portfolio for modeling, design, MUA, etc. and I'm open to suggestions on shots.

I go back to Romania once or twice a year and would love to work with people from home so if you're interested, please get in touch with me!

I've had the pleasure to work with a make-up artist recently and the difference between having one and doing without is so strikingly obvious to me now! Since I'll have to do most shots without the help of such talented people, any advice given when it comes to make up, clothing design, hair or anything else, Iwould be very appreciated! I'm all ears!

	sure, if you are okay with giving me the HR images to sell prints and use in my book we can definitely do a TF shoot :D I'm actually looking to get new images done just for my book so it's perfect timing. I'm pretty much always free, there isn't a whole lot going on here or anything :)) I don't travel to Bucharest much, I think I've only been there about 3 times in the 2 years I've been here so if you are able to make it over to Brasov that would be a huge help unless you have good locations in Bucharest we can shoot at where we will be undisturbed, it's really the main issue with shooting in RO... going out in public dressed the way I do... it's certain death... we also have to bare in mind the weather, if we will do an outside shoot we may want to wait for it to warm up a bit if it's inside than anytime works :D

	I sure can! For this butterfly make-up we're gonna need some face paint and some jewels! It can be done beautiful and ornate I'm buying a set of aquacolour face paints for hallowe'en anyway. And the jewels I can buy too. I don't mind because I will probably be able to use the rest for some work later on. Thanks for the comment! Valentina
