My interest in all aspects of makeup began very early in my childhood, between studying the artwork on my favorite album covers of the era and obsessively watching old school "Creature Features" on Saturday afternoon. While studying theatre in college, I learned techniques in wig and maskmaking, aging, and bald cap application and have continued to attend workshops in special effects makeup to further that knowledge. I'm inspired by images from many eras of fashion, from the fifties chic of the Hitchcock Heroines to the edgy eighties nudes photographed by Helmut Newton. I have fourteen years of experience that includes salon work, representing lines such as Chanel and Laura Mercier, and nationally run campaigns for Today's Man and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas. Even though most of my career has been focused on beauty and glamour makeup, I am also experienced in fantasy and theatrical body paint. In recent years I have worked with talented photographers such as Jennifer Hughes, Nima Taradji, and Joe Tanis. I'm available for print, tv/film, runway, bridal, corporate, and any special occasion. Rates are negotiable.
I currently reside in Chicago, where I am an artist for the Shu Uemura regional team, but I am willing to travel.
