I'm a laid back, open minded, down to earth, passionate, Professional, slightly quirky, 38 yr old African American, Illustrator & Pin-up artist from Boston, Ma.
My respect & appreciate for the female form (& women in general) has always been genuine, so unlike most men, I'm not easily swayed or distracted by the physical, which means, if I contact a model, I ACTUALLY read their page, got a sense of who they are rather than just browsing their gallery.
Also, I feel the need to make this clear...
I am NOT the previous, idiotic, male chauvinistic photographer you had a shoot with who tried to touch you, date you, get you in bed, said something sexist, treated you disrespectfully, never gave you a CD of the shoot, never paid you or got you to travel to another state to do all of the above, so please...don't come at me like I am. Get to know me before judging me. As hard as it might be for you to believe (understandably so) not all of us are that ignorant or unprofessional.
BEAUTY:
There are MANY beautiful looking women on this site, all of a different variety, which is how it should be. NO ONE model represents what beauty should be - There is no ONE type of beauty that exist or one type that a culture should be trapped into liking or worshiping, even though TV, movies, magazines & most men try to tell us otherwise.
What I view as beautiful covers a VERY wide spectrum, more than most whose views are often trapped by their LIMITED outlook on race & culture.
Tattoos, piercings, wearing glasses, curvy, naturally thin, punk, alternative, rockabilly, short, tall, edgy, nerd, geek - BEAUTY exist within all these categories. I know this because I see it often. I also know this because I honestly find most of what I listed as being extremely beautiful.
When it's all said in done, the personality & attitude of a person is what really matters to me - The physical can ONLY say so much about someone.
WORKING WITH:
I'm mainly looking to work with / draw open minded, diversely beautiful, creative, fun, down to earth, strong, passionate women from ALL over (particularity from Mass)
By the way, this is a NO Diva / Prima Donna zone.
TYPE OF ART:
The artwork I produce ranges from Portraits, Playboy like type pin-ups, to highly sensual & Intensely Erotic. This doesn't mean I expect or require anyone to get nude. That all depends on how comfortable the model feels.
COLLABORATION:
I will sometime contact a model & ask to draw them. When I do, it's more of a creative collaboration than a working one, since I'm not asking to do a paid shoot & I'm producing the drawing from photo reference.
Most drawings will be done on regular 8+11 paper & produced only in pencil. I'm NOT looking to sell, reprint or use any of the pin-ups I produce. Again, this is NOT a business collaboration. I'm just looking to enhance my pin-up portfolio. In most cases I will give the model the actual original drawing.
PARTNERS IN CRIME:
Eventually, I'm hoping to build a working relationship with a model or models to the point where I can call on them to do a photo shoot, use their pics as reference for a paid illustration or pin-up piece commission, then splitting the profits, 50/50, from whatever piece of art we happen to create.
TIMING:
It usually takes me a few weeks or MORE to complete a piece since I'm doing this in between other gigs, so please, NO constant messages asking me about when it's going to be completed. That also means I'm not on your clock, but mine - Good work takes time.
