The Devils Diner

Greetings to All viewing this site.  My name is John Caspers and this is The Devil's Diner. Hope you see something on the menu that you like. And no, I'm not into the occult.  It's just a catchy name.  I have been a photographer & artist since high school.  In the last few years I've done almost every kind of photography there is; wedding, childrens, family, even food photography for catalogs.  My favorite photography is glamour and portraiture.  I'm always interested in finding new faces for my projects and time permitting, I'll travel a bit to shoot a reliable model (the key word here is ''reliable'').  I alternate locations from time to time so that backgrounds don't look the same from shoot to shoot.
     
If you're  coming to me I will try to mix it up a bit to keep it fresh.  I keep shoots as simple as possible.  I don't have a lot of equipment or studio tricks.  I rely on the model as much as props or location to create a mood that hopefully will transfer to the picture.  Less is more most of the time.  If we are working together, I want to make you shine.  Everything else is secondary.

Looking over other Mayhem sites, I noticed lots of models and photographers have oodles of rules to be agreed to.  Well, here's mine: I WILL request that you sign a release.  If you are a minor, I will only work with you AFTER I have a release signed by a parent or guardian.  If you are a minor, please don't ask me to shoot anything less than bathing suits.  You will have to get someone else to shoot your Playboy test shots.  Be professional.  Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours.  Don't tell me when I'm already  waiting for you that you have to cancel.  24 hours notice is appreciated.  It may be hard to tell, but I'm pretty easy to work with.  If you humor me, I will treat you very well, but please don't act like a princess.  My ego is big enough for both of us... I will provide images for you of the best shots from the shoot.  This may be 5 photos or it may be 25. That all depends on a lot of variables (our shoot chemistry, the weather, etc.)  I will tell you my rough ideas for the shoot, but I won't story board them out for you.  Sometimes a shoot branches off into another direction and it benefits the photographs.  In general, I have rotten luck allowing the chaperon thing (It's hard to explain but bringing your manager slash boyfriend is usually the quickest route to mediocre photographs).   I understand the desire to be cautious, but unless you are a minor,
we'll have to talk on an individual basis if you want someone else present.  Occasionally I will use a female makeup person to change your look a bit.  Don't take it as an insult.  It's all good.

For the next few months, I'm doing shoots at NO charge for any models I am interested in working with.  So contact me and perhaps we can work together.  Thanks a lot.
