Nim is her name & Photography is her game.

Born and raised in the paradise of Port Douglas, Far North Queensland, Nim was blooming with creativity from an early age.
Spending timeless hours in the darkroom at school developing film whist realising her sure love for working with people sparked an instant interest into the world of photography.

Nim went on to study a Bachelor Of Photography at James Cook University in Townsville, graduating in 2008. During her studies she freelanced for local magazine CityLife, under the direction of Linda & Stewart Cooper and renowned photographer Brad Newton. Working as a freelance photographer gave insight into the extremely competitive male-dominated industry, fuelling her desire for success & determination to succeed.
Nim’s choice to start shooting commercially before completing her studies instantly developed her professional integrity, technical expertise and her passion for creating images that excite.

Nim was always obsessed with visual stimulation and in no time NIM_photo was born. With a natural affinity for fashion, mentored by Chrissy Mac & Damon from JAXX clothing stores in Townsville the NIM_photo journey had only just begun.

NIM_photo is a specialist in Fashion, Advertising, Commercial, Editorial and Wedding Photography. Nim brings high energy and a fresh perspective to every assignment, widening the boundaries of photographic expression through imaginative and consistently creative photography. Dynamic & diverse, NIM_photo thrives on innovative images that excite and give viewers a story.

Nim’s naturally vibrant & energetic personality is reflected in her work through an unobtrusive, relaxed & professional approach to all dealings with clients. Photography has enabled Nim to create imagery beyond imagination whist continually striving to go beyond client expectations. Nim is a highly personable individual with an easygoing, fun personality. She understands the sensitivity in dealing with subjects and believes communication is the key.




NIM_photo is a recognized business within the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) and is currently based in Townsville, Far North Queensland.
