Mini Bio:
I was born in Carthage, Texas, and raised just a stone's throw away in Longview. Yep… King Ranch horses, Akita dogs, lush pine tree forests and… A constant searching both within and without. I floundered for the first part of my life and tried on many different hats, few of which fit.
I joined the U.S. Army in 1995 and separated in 2001. Military Police MOS with a special protection platoon for General Officers. Hard times… Very good times often are. After, I moved on to Miami, Florida and started my own business. But, before long the love of acting and distaste for “business” prompted me to seek roles in local projects. I’ve been quite lucky to have been included in several critically acclaimed film festival and art house ventures, and then landed a role in the underground feature film "American Skin II" directed by Thomas Griffith. The role as reluctant killer Buddy Logan garnered excellent reviews on the indie circuit. I took the advice of my acting coach and left Florida for Hollywood where I quickly landed parts in HBO's "Deadwood" and Nu-Lite Film's "Color of the Cross."
In my spare time I’m an avid horse enthusiast and, just to mention, I’ve competed in several local bull riding competitions back in Texas, and though I do my best I have to admit that so far, the bulls have usually won. Also, I have a brown belt in Isshinryu karate, Private Pilot’s license and when I can afford it, I work on the helicopter rating.
Currently.. Writing and producing my one man show, aptly named "The Tales of a Southern Gentleman." You can catch me in several independent films (one of which is at Cannes this year: “The Prospector” in the starring role) and some National Geographic projects like “The Secret History of Religion.” I play "John The Baptist"… Go figure!
I serve as a Youth Counselor for the American Cancer Society's Camp Reach 4 the Sky. CR4TS is a summer camp for kids who have been diagnosed/going through treatment/ or are living with the effects of cancer. So that usually takes up my summer months but I can schedule around those months.
Also I’m quite passionately involved with Hearts of Life Animal Rescue organization in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
I sing both country and some Italian, dance, fight, smell roses, grow bonsai and love a good red wine. I have never seen a woman who wasn’t fascinating in some way and I live with some regret which makes me a much better man. I do cry at romantic/sappy movies and blame it on popcorn salt…. Good times! Then, we can share ideas, success, and work together to create some lovely images that may just last forever!
