What's up Mayhem! My name is Reg and I've been a Bay Area photographer for the last 5 years. I'm here for one reason and one reason only, to collaborate with enthusiastic models, MUA, and wardrobe artists who share the same passion for creating amazing images as I do. I'm a very chill and easy to get along with. I am 100% professional but at the same time I feel that photoshoots should be fun and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Important things you need to know when considering working with me:
How I Shoot
I like to meet models prior to shooting. A simple meet-up at a Starbucks or where ever gives both of us a chance to meet, get a feel for each other, and further discuss the shoot.
I am shooting on a TF Digital Images bases at this time (more on that later). I can have prints done but there will be a fee for that. I'm located in the center of the Bay Area (Richmond) and am willing to travel throughout the Bay but try and keep things as local as possible. This means Vallejo, Oakland, San Francisco, and everything in between. I will travel outside these areas for models with exceptional talent and/or an excellent location to shoot. If you contact me to shoot at a location that is further than the above please keep that in mind because I will not rack up miles for a mediocre shoot.
Where I Shoot
99% of my shoots are on location. The location of a shoot can be anywhere in the Bay Area depending on the models transportation situation. Location depends entirely on the theme of the shoot. I do my best to choose locations that won't be a hassle for anyone involved to get to. Need a ride? I don't mind picking people up as long as I don't have to go too far out of my way to do so. In addition, I am working on getting a studio setup.
Who You Can Bring
I have absolutely no problem with models bringing an escort AS LONG AS that escort doesn't interfere with the shoot and doesn't make things awkward for anyone involved in the shoot including myself. I have experienced many occasions where a model didn't perform to her maximum ability due to the presence of his/her escort. I've also experienced cases where I couldn't perform at my best because I could feel the models boyfriend staring at me the entire time. So I ask... Bring your mom, sister, best friend, cousin, whoever, just not your significant other.
Feel free to contact any of the models I've worked with. Ask them what kind of person I am, then decide if you need to bring someone or not.
MUA/Wardrobe
Sorry, but seeing as I don't shoot models for a living I don't have a make-up artist or wardrobe styling on my back pocket. If your capable of doing your own then great! If not, I'm willing to help contact someone to assist in that area. However, things such as hair, make-up, and wardrobe are ultimately the MODELS responsibility. Just as cameras, lenses, and lighting are MY responsibility. ï
What I DON'T Do
I do NOT give out unprocessed images. My work is photographed AND processed by me. Please don't ask for the RAW images after the shoot so you can "do your own editing". If you choose to work with me it is because you like MY style and a photo is no longer my style once its been edited by someone else. If you are one of those models who claim to want to see all photos so they can learn from their mistakes then I will gladly send you low resolution watermarked images. And by low resolution I mean about 400 pixel on the long end. The reason I send them so small is because they are for viewing purposes only and are not to be used for display on any website or in any portfolio.
Your Photos
I deliver photos in the form of a zip/rar file which you will download directly from my website. I find it to be much easier for myself and the model than dealing with actual CDs. In that zip file contains full size unmarked images (for physical portfolio prints) as well as web sized copies (which are badged with my small and discrete watermark). I have no problems with models uploading my work to sites other than Model Mayhem but I do ask that you use the web sized watermarked copies when uploading to any site. Under no circumstances are my photos to be edited in any way by anyone before uploading. That includes removing or cropping out the watermark. You get credit for being in the picture so please respect my right to get credit for taking it.
I USUALLY deliver photos within 72 hours after a shoot. To date it has never taken me more than 3 days to deliver. Ask any of the models in my credits how long it took for them to get their shots. You won't be experiencing any shoot and run here.
Ok now that that's all the way.. If you want to shoot with someone who's going to be professional and chill at the same time send me a message and let's make some magic!!
