I have been a full time professional photographer in the Washington area for twenty plus years.
My commercial work is seen under charlesmartinphoto. It includes head shots for actors and models, beauty pageants, composite cards, fashion and a wide breadth of subjects.
The work here on MM is more varied. It includes some of the commercial work described above but also includes glamour, art, out of the box and fetish work. The boundaries of what is found here is really broad.
Things you will not find on this site include violence, death, gore or things of that nature.
I am interested in finding creative people that have a passion for being creative and art.
The compensation involved depends on the specific shoot. The large part of the work here is tfp. In that case, the model gets a cd of the shoot and I work on/photoshop some number of images for her. There are cases where I may pay a model and other cases where the modelmay pay me. Each situation is unique.
You are free to call my cell, 703 472 4400 , message here or email, email@example.com.
In some cases where some one new seems talented and just getting a start, I may do some work just to help them get going in a professional manner.
When geography doesn’t make it impractical, I am willing to meet and consult prior to a shoot. Typically there a bunch of questions. Covering them in advance tends to make for a better shoot.
Typically, I shoot pretty loose. It may start with a general idea or theme and end up going in another direction depending on the personality of the model and the chemistry of the shoot. My first step is make the model comfortable in the situation. I never ever use negative motivation or criticism. All of the
motivation is positive. As some point we end up working together.
This work should be fun. A famous comedian said, “Life is much to important to be taken seriously.” Some times the best results come when you stay loose. I believe you can work hard and have fun at the same time.
So, work hard, stay loose and have fun.
