Hi! I'm Laureate.
[LAWR-ee-it]- deserving or having special recognition for achievement, as for poetry. My name is to remind me that my first passion is poetry of the written word and of the body.
I'm not skinny. I'm not fat. I have scars. I'm strange. I'm something you've never seen before. I'm a concept model.
UPDATE (09/15/2012): After devoting a year to work and graduate school, I realize that something is missing without modeling. I want to do it differently this time, however, devoting myself completely to art without getting wrapped up in comparing myself to others. If you are interested, please contact me. Limited travel, for now. My schedule is pretty tight, but I can always make time for creating beauty (or beautiful ugliness). Services that I Offer:
1)
Modeling for photographs and some video. I am very experienced in shooting almost any genre, including artistic nude, beauty, conceptual (my favorite), horror, erotic, fetish, and fashion. I spend a lot of time perfecting my poses, facial expressions, etc. I have rates by the hour, half and full day, and combination trade and pay. I will usually do TFAirfare. Ask me. My images are accurate, and I am more than willing to provide reference photos.
2)
Modeling for art classes, art groups, and individual painters/sculptors/illustrators. This is probably one of my favorites! Rates are lower for this type of work, except in the case of reference photographs. I have plenty of references for art modeling as well.
3)
Model coaching. I can provide individual instruction in posing, facial expressions, shoot preparation, and beyond to new models. On occasion, models can shadow one of my shoots in exchange for transportation.
4)
Set design and art direction. I develop and execute concepts for about 80% of my shoots. I have hundreds of ideas, and have experience creating sets, arranging makeup/hair, and putting together every piece of a shoot. Let me do all the dirty work for you!
Body Modifications:
I have 7 piercings- four in my ears, two in my nipples, and one in my nose. All are removable. I have 5 tattoos on my left arm, inside of my arm, back, behind my ear, and on the back of my neck. I have a few scars, but most do not show up on camera and I can cover the other ones up with Derma-blend if necessary. I have not yet had someone say that my scars were distracting, but I understand if you would like for me to cover them up.
