Update:  Spring of 2011

At this point in time, I'm an established athlete/model in the fitness industry.  My current focus is on some new ad campaigns, writing for fitness industry publications, and basically helping others achieve their best fitness levels using methods I've proven work.  Working with other talent to plan some creative shoots with amazing photographers is always interesting, motivating, and even inspiring to me. 

A few years ago I was another face in a fitness-loving crowd.  Then came a dare to myself:  "Enter a local physique competition already!!! - Put up, or shut up!"  That started it all--I entered a local show, got the win, and more importantly, the confidence to continue forward, which resulted in 5 national titles, exposure in several fitness magazines, involvement on national ad campaigns, work at fitness industry trade shows, and most importantly to me, the love and respect of friends and colleagues in the field of exercise physiology that I've loved almost my entire life.

Someday, I suppose my journey will end where it began--with me loving and enjoying the benefits of exercise and good nutrition.  My attention, though, is turning a bit from striving to achieve myself, to helping others achieve the potential that's given to everyone.  My gut feel is that with a little direction and motivation, the level of success I've achieved can be achieved by others, so in that vein I look forward to talking with many of you moving forward.
