I am a semi professional photographer that is retired from his main job. My main goal is to get published. I am hoping to get advise and contact models and other photographers on this site, that can help me to become a better photographer. I would also like to help the models, that have helped me, to find more paid work. I am looking for the special model that can get us both on the cover of a major magazine. I am also working on a book. I am trying to shoot a model in all 50 states over the next 2 years and publish it as a book.  I will TFCD with most models that understand what the word TRADE means. I feel I can learn from each shoot. Feel free to contact me with ideas and offers.
I charge for portfolios if the models are not interested in trading work that I want to shoot. I feel my rates are reasonable for the quality of pics you get. $50 per hr. and you get an unedited CD of the entire shoot. I will shoot whatever the model is comforatable with.
None of the pics on my site are edited in any way. What you see, is what I shot. Some models have edited my pics before putting them on their sites and that is fine with me, but I don't do it. You should see what my unedited work looks like before you chose to shoot with me. You want a photographer, not a computer whiz.
You will be very happy with the pics we make.
I am very professional, not pushy, I listen to your concerns and I work to give you the best photos I can.

For those of you keeping track of my progress on the book, I am home from Alaska. I shot in every state between here and there but 4. I need, Neb., Wi., Il., and Iowa. 23 models total.
Iowa and Neb. were my fault, bad planning, they were at the front of the trip.Wisconsin flaked on me at the LAST minute. I was literally driving to her to shoot, when she canceled.
I will be posting the MM#'s of the great models I shot with. ALL come highly recommended. I had 6 models  lined up in Wy. and only 1 showed up. At least she was great, fun and creative.

Great models I worked with on the trip. Most of these models have several of my pics up and about half are using my pic as their avatar. My computer sucks and i havn't been able to put many up yet. [memory problems] I took over 3000 pics on the Alaskan trip.

Unfortunately, so did the flakes, of which there are many.

I just got back from a 2 week trip to shoot in the states south and east of Ohio.[Nov.9-20] It wasn't very productive. I shot with a fantastic model in Atlanta, Ga. and got some wonderful sunrise shots on a beach in Fla. My Tn. and Al. models got rained out. We took some pics but due to bad weather, they aren't as good as they could be. No models responded from N.C. or S.C. and there were 5 flakes in Fl.

I leave for the southwest in mid Jan. and will be on the road a month. I need models in Il., Mo., Arkansas, La., Ok., N.M., Arizona, Ca., Nv., Utah, and Colorado.
Please contact me early so I can set up a reasonable route and get to all of you on time.
Anyone that could help with housing and put me up for a night here and there would really be a help. Traveling has really taken a BIG bite out of my budget. I have driven over 15,000 miles so far since Aug.

I have 3 rental cabins on my 45 acre farm in the Hocking Hills of SE Ohio. Any model that wants to come here and shoot can stay the night free or can trade modeling for a cabin for the weekend. Any photographer that wants to come here to shoot is welcome, if they want to stay the night, they get a considerable reduction in cost. Professional courtesy.

I recently completed a driving trip to Alaska and shot with models in almost every state between here and there. I will fill in the holes later. Nov. 20, just returned from Florida and the SE states. This is going to be published as a book.
I have shot with a model that was the cover of a Playboy special edition last year and is in another Playboy special edition that is on magazine stands right now.[ Nov.09]
