D.Webb's Bio/Experience:

Of Greek-American descent, Debbie / D.Webb was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, until she moved to Athens, Greece at the age of ten. Debbie grew up a in family that owned and operated a boutique filled with industrial apparel-making machines, where there was constant creativity and inspiration from the fashion industry and an onslaught of clients eager to wear her mother’s designs. In the boutique, Debbie would shadow her mother and quickly learned the art of design as well as the technical aspect of running an apparel business. By the age of 13, Debbie's learned the very important art of construction "sewing" and basic pattern making.

Debbie graduated from high school , in Athens Greece, (where she specialized in Art) and, following her mother’s footsteps, studied fashion design and pattern-making at Veloudakis, a private Institute of Design in Athens. She also continued to work in her mother's boutique, which further solidified the necessary skills that she needed to become a first-rate designer. However, Debbie soon realized that she lacked extensive knowledge of business management merchandising, so she made the tough decision of leaving the comfort of her home, family, and friends in Athens to return to America to study Fashion Merchandising at the world renowned Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.

Debbie obtained her Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising from FIT in 2004 and then decided to pursue yet another degree in Fashion Design, specializing in Intimate Apparel. She continued honing her skills in corsetry design after graduating and working in the intimate apparel field. Debbie obtained her 3rd Associates Degree in Fashion Design 2005. Since then, she continued to practice the art of corsetry while working as an intimate apparel designer at two of the country's top intimate apparel firms (Warnaco & Hanesbarnads INC.)
As a founding and current member of Manhattan Tribal, NYC's 1st and only American Tribal Style Belly dance group Debbie started designing dancewear for the tribal bellydance community.

After years of working in the intimate apparel industry Debbie decided to make D.Webb Dancewear and D.Webb NYC her full time job. Designing for her own label and collaborating with her mentor Angela Harris has been a lifelong dream where she finds no limitations to her creativity......
