About me
Soreyda Benedit Begley is a Lexington Kentucky based designer and community activist. She Is originally from Honduras and has lived in the United states for almost 11 years. She is currently the Director of the Lexington Fashion Collaborative and head Designer for S.Benedit Clothing. Soreyda's passion for fashion started at very young age, as a little girl she sewed by hand and used any materials she could find to create her designs, she still uses unconventional materials on her designs. At the age of 13 she entered sewing academy where she learned pattern making and garment construction. For 20 years she has been continuously designing and making clothes, her unique pieces have been shown on the runway and in art shows around the Kentucky area, New York NY, Atlanta, GA, Asheville NC, Virginia Beach VA and Chicago IL as well in the pages of fashion publications.
