I have spoken with a lot of photographers on this site, and I know the frustration most of them feel when it comes to flaky models, models that don't look like their portfolio images, and "professional" models that are anything but. I just want to stress that I am the real deal if you are looking for a model that will show up prepared, on time, in need of little direction, and looking like, well, me. Feel free to ask any photographer I have worked with and they will back up my credibility 100 percent. This is a career choice for me, not something I do when I feel like it if I feel like it so I can have pictures to show my boyfriend or post on myspace. I'm still fun to hang around with though, so don't be intimidated :-)
I love modeling and enjoy being a part of it all, dressing up and 'selling' an image. That being said, I have been playing dress up for about 6 years now, so I think I'm getting relatively good at it, I know what I'm doing. Therefore, I am looking for mostly paid opportunities. Open to working with other models, MUAs, and stylists. I am the kind of person who likes to make relationships with those I work with, which is why you'll often see me work with people more than once. Of course, if you prefer I show up, hop in front of the camera for 2 hours, then leave, I'm fully capable....
I am a full time 5th (out of 6) year pharmacy student, minoring in health psychology. I also work at a pharmacy part time. I still find time to do the things I love, and try to be as flexible as possible. I may have time to work tomorrow, but a lot of the time I am not free for 2-3 weeks from the date we start chatting.
Will work for: money, food, awesome shots, clothes, and any sort of combination of the aforementioned. If I do a trade shoot with you, I expect it to be a fair trade, meaning I'd like to actually receive the photos, preferably within a month, and I'd like enough that I actually have some to choose from. I offer my services as a trade, and although I understand that we're all busy and have things to do, but I expect to get something I'm going to use.
I love to do artistic shoots and interesting concepts, and am always looking to work with outstanding fashion and beauty photographers to add to my body of work. I will not however be comfortable doing things I feel are not tasteful or nude images. I just like to leave stuff to the imagination :-), I find people imagine these things to be much better than they actually are, so why ruin it by showing it?
Another little note- Please, when you're working with me, be respectful about touching me. Obviously, if you're a stylist and you're dressing me it's fine or if you're a makeup artist you kind of have to touch me, it's cool. I just request kindly that if you're working with me and you need my sweater adjusted or if a strap is falling down or what have you, don't reach over without a word and start messing with me. I shoot better when I'm comfortable. Other that that you can totally get up in my face with a camera. In other words- if you think it may make me uncomfortable, just ask.
The list of things I've done since I started modeling when I was fifteen is just too long and complicated to try to post thoroughly in a little text box.
