___PHOTOGRAPHY____
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I've captured or created images in various forms since 1989. I'm a very versatile photographer with experience in product, editorial, fashion, film production stills, event and fine art.
I LOVE natural light (The golden hours make me giddy!) and the soft look it can give a model!!!
! ! ! I'm looking for beautiful women or good-looking men to be my muses. Contact me now if you want a series for yourself. ! ! !

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . My BFA is from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (cum laude 2005) and was for visual effects and computer animation. I've worked on films with budgets from zero to several million dollars as a visual effects artist, sound designer, or makeup artist. And on some films, all at the same time! I enjoy working with one image at a time to create my photography work utilizing the same skill set that we use on moving images for film visual effects. Wanna see more?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I currently shoot with Canon & various lenses, but have also enjoyed using 3 and 4 lens lenticular print cameras, the cheapest of cheap panoramic disposables and my home-built pinhole camera which I created to shoot 4x5 paper or film. These shots will eventually make it to MM.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please don't hesitate to contact me for anything. I will do TFP/CD with those with a professional attitude whose shots I think will enhance my portfolio. Otherwise, my rates are very reasonable for a 3-4 hour in-studio or on-location session.

_____HOW I WORK_____
I give models plenty of room to experiment and allow them to feel safe. I demonstrate that the results will be viewed with creative and constructive eyes and opinions, no embarrassment, no judgment; they're completely free to create and explore . . .that's the kind of environment that I really must have. If we're shooting for a specific frame I'll give concise directions on how we can both achieve the look together.
They will know when things are coming together as I'll probably start to flit around with excitement, talking faster, just happy with the results. It's hard to miss.
I will share our best results with them to show them the fruits of their efforts. Through out the session, we will look at the images and discuss ways to improve. This allows us to work in a collaborative environment and develops a trust that benefits the final result as well as ensures future successful photo sessions.
I will remind my model that we are creating an image, art, a creation, and that they are part of it. They can relax because the end result will have anonymity, in some respects. It's possible that they may not even be recognized. Perhaps they will wear a mask. I love masks!
Masks lend such a sense of secrecy and seductiveness. The wearer's eyes lead the viewer and the overall image makes the viewer want so desperately to know the person behind the mask; it draws them in. The holes in the mask take on voyeuristic conventions, similar to a keyhole in a door. The viewer just wants to look through the peepholes and know the human behind the mask. Find out if they're hiding a fear or a loathing behind that false face.
He he he . . . I'm off to shoot some pics. Come join me!
