About me- I was born with a passion for creating beautiful things and love surrounding myself with beauty- so it was only natural that I became a fashion designer.
I put myself through fashion school and started my own company all with the money I made working nights as a bartender/cocktail waitress in the NYC club scene. This was no easy task- lots of sleepless nights, but I kept at it!
My collection is all about celebrating the feminine mystique and bringing out the inner goddess in all women.
I was inspired by ancient temptresses in history, arabian belly dancers, greek goddesses, BOLLYWOOD, james bond movies and comic book heroines
My clothing line consists mostly of exotic gowns but I also make party dresses to wear out on the town, lingerie, and the best fitting Brazilian cut bikinis
I design, make patterns, samples, and do production all at my LIC queens factory/showroom- I am now also doing some photography in my other makeshift studio/ loft space.
For those of you that are familiar with the hood- my loft is across the street from SILVERCUP film studios.
I do shoots to catalog my new designs every few months- and I am hoping to find a good core of models, hair stylists, make up artists and photographers that I can collaborate with artistically- who can share my vision.
THE TYPE OF MODELS I"M LOOKING FOR
Must be EXOTIC - Any girls of mixed ethnicity whose nationality "you just can't put your finger on" I especially like the Middle Eastern or Indian look- cat eyes are also a plus.
I don't usually go for the pale skin- light haired look but if you have something special and different to bring to the table- BRING IT!
I'm looking for memorable faces that know how to smolder in front of the camera without trying too hard, someone who naturally exudes a sensuality and sultriness. Someone with a little mystery behind the eyes whose gaze remains permanently engraved in you psyche.
I don't like overtly sexual poses that look cheap- I'm not looking for the over the top and been around the block bleach blonde with tons of surgical alterations type nor am I looking the girl next door type.
I also don't want girls who are stuck on 2 or 3 "mall catalog" style poses and have the "deer in headlights" look.
Basically I need girls who can WORK IT and be FIERCE!
MUA and hairstylists- Have to have a vivid imagination and need to be willing to push the creative envelope and be professional.
Photographers- No pervs or EGOS. I'm looking for visionaries who understands lighting and art direction, willing to try new things and is fun to work with.
Lastly thanks everyone for dropping in the past few months or so- I'm fairly new to MM so if I don't respond it's only because I have been inundated with mails and requests and I have been busy trying to get out my daily orders.
