I shoot portraiture and fine-art nudes, with occasional forays into the realm of fashion and glam. Often I see beauty where others may not. I really have no desire to photograph every model on MM. Instead I seek a few thoughtful, expressive and artistic individuals with whom to work. My most successful images are about mystery, mood, ambivalence and desire. I take pride in the professional relationships I've established with models here, and look forward to building a decent body of work with them over time.
Although my artistic destination may not always be clear beforehand, I love the journey getting there. I'm always thrilled when serendipity and whimsy find a way into our shoots. When things go right, each shoot is a creative adventure between model and photographer. This is what I strive for, and you should too.
During warm weather months I enjoy shooting on Cape Cod where I live during July and August. I know many beautiful and remote locations from the Canal to Truro. My year-round city studio is located on Summer Street near the Boston Design Center. It's safe, clean, well-heated and easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Well behaved escorts are always welcome. Beware any photographer who says otherwise.
Last September, I began my seventh season as the media photographer for the award-winning
Zeitgeist Stage Company, an avant-garde, and daring theater group located in the Boston Center for the Arts. To learn more click on

During the past twenty-five years my work has appeared in one form or another in the following media:
Boston Globe; Boston Herald; Boston Metro; Boston Phoenix; Edge; Quincy Patriot Ledger; South End News; Atlantic Flyer; On-The-Water; wbur.com; WBZ-TV4; and WCVB-TV5 among others.
There are three MM photographers with whom I've worked closely for the past several years:
Tom Hazeltine/Change-of-Focus Photography, MM# 169398
Peter Caswell/Sublime Chaos Photography, MM# 255922
Tony Thompson/TonyPhotog, MM# 54541
Each one is a valued friend who has helped me become a better photographer.

Since joining ModelMayhem seven years ago, I've photographed approximately one-hundred fifty models from this site. It's become too cumbersome to list the ones I've most enjoyed, much less all. You can find model credits (where applicable) under member's photos. Feel free to contact any of them for a reference.
Let me say a few words about friend requests. Real friends talk to each other. A friend is some one you know, can vouch for, and yes, actually care about. If you want to be listed, introduce yourself through a comment, tag, or message. Let me know who you are. Can't think of anything to say... well then, why would or should I list you?
The models shown below are those I've worked with recently or talk to frequently.
