About me
I am a fine art model who works primarily with painters, illustrators and fine art photographers. I have a background in dance, theater and visual art which I believe add greatly both to my versatility as a model and my understanding of the creative work flow. I enjoy the exploration of movement in imagery, artistic collaboration and working with other artists in innovative ways to bring beautiful visions to fruition.

I strive to explore the extremes of light and darkness...and to find balance between the two. And balance does not mean everything washes out to gray. Balance means both light and darkness can (and do) exist at once. And it is in these places of harmonic contrast that we find truly exquisite beauty and inarguable truth.

I prefer to work with female photographers and those who are truly invested in creating art (body painters, painters, artists and those who use light to work magic within the context of their images). Collaborative art should never feel like work. It should feel like a collective dream being realized.

95% of my work was created with my being nude. 0% of my work is pornographic or otherwise objectifying or demeaning. These are images that celebrate, glorify and honor women. If you truly understand the difference and would like to create art, please contact me.

*Note to Photographers*
Lighting is EVERYTHING!!! Photography is by definition "light writing." Making an image black and white or sticking a naked chick in it does not make it art. Good lighting can turn the most mundane object (a bottle cap?) into a divine art subject. I recommend reading the book "Painting with Light" if the concept of light writing is new to you.

*A Word About Makeup*
I seldom wear it, either in my daily life or for modeling. My diet is clean and healthy, and this keeps my skin clear and bright. I sometimes add digital makeup in post production if I feel that it can add to an image. It is a lot easier to add than to subtract in post, and I prefer not to gunk up my images prematurely. If there is makeup used in a shoot, I expect that it will be part of a creative vision such as developing a character or doing a body painting. Otherwise, I prefer not to cover that which nature has provided.

Also, my eye color is blue/green/gray/hazel depending on my mood, the weather, the lighting, what I'm wearing, and how much sleep I've had. :)

*A Bit About Retouching*
I see far too many retouched photos in which the subject looks plastic, overly perfect or cartoonish. The goal of retouching is not to create something that looks artificial. The goal is to "retouch" and improve the photo so that the eye is not distracted by skin blemishes, bruises, bumps, stray hairs, or odd contours. A truly great retouch does not look retouched. It just looks beautiful. Unless your work looks like this: http://www.modelmayhem.com/pics.php?id=1263481, please understand, I am capable of doing my own retouching (as I have been doing just that professionally since 2002).

My wishlist of artists I desire to work with:

1) Body painters
2) Traditional painters
3) Digital fantasy creators
4) Movement observers
5) Light wizards
6) Makeup gods and goddesses
7) Anyone with an innovative creative vision

If you ask me to be part of your creative vision, I will expect to get paid. If I ask you to help me manifest my creative vision, I will expect to pay you. If we are truly collaborating and creating something together, I will expect TFP. Makes sense, yeah?

I am fairly particular about the work I do and how the images in which I appear represent me. I am not simply looking to expand my portfolio. I am looking to extend my creative expression. I am an artist first, a dancer second, and a model third.

*Note to Photographers 2*
Please do not write to a model and offer to help her "improve" her port. That's actually fairly offensive. Please give the model the benefit of the doubt and assume that the images she has chosen to put in her port are projecting the vision she has chosen to project. Instead, ask her if she would like to expand her port by assisting you in manifesting your vision.

Still reading? Interested? Fantastic! Let's create!!!

You totally should :) The best way to do it is to get a black cream color and line your lips with it, then brush the dark red on, blending the black up into the center of your lips with the red. It makes them super luscious :D

Thanks so much MIzZe Calliope :)

Yup, I am the action figure of the "real world" right? haha. True artists do love to work with me, they really appreciate the curves, and I am proud of that.

Thanks so much for your kind words :)

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I really appreciated your insight. And yes (!) I have read that book. Just last fall, actually, and it became one of my favorites. How amazing that you would cite that particular story..

Your work is wonderful. You have a gentle, but powerful beauty. If ever you're in ND.. heh, not that you would be, no one really is, however, if you ever are.. ;)
