Yes, I'm back on tour for 2012. Please check my website cosplayinamerica.com for the latest tour dates. I'm also scheduled for my first con outside of the United States, ComCom in Mexico on March 31, 2012.
==== BACKSTORY ===================================
In 2009, I travelled to 6 anime cons in 5 months, photographing over 1,600 cosplayers from coast to coast. Using a stack of credit cards, I self-published a hardcover 272 page coffee table book called "Cosplay in America". In this volume you would find a cross-section of 260 cosplayers from 30 states in the country.
I didn't want to make a "best of" book, but instead more of an overview - what you would see if you walked into a convention - people of different shapes, sizes, race, backgrounds all cosplaying for the love of their favorite characters.
I spent 2010 crisscrossing the country to 10 cons in artist alley. In 2011, I hooked up with Epic Cosplay wigs and attended 20 cons promoting my book from coast to coast.
Not bad for some guy who maxed out a bunch of credit cards on a dream, right ? ^^
