My zeal and continuous augmentation within the arts is specialising with film and digital media in progressing distinctive modern-art photography and notably Surrealism to the outer limits, however, my prime modelling aspects and roots are the technical knowledge of both camera, lighting and coloured gels to create what the camera sees is what you get without the need for correction of images through conventional and or liquid darkrooms! The accuracy and timing of a photographer is paramount in establishing raw un-edited images that form world class design! Digital creates a photographer the easy way generating a liquid darkroom rather than using traditional film tools that were symbolic with true photographers skilled in their craft; a dying trade in today’s world of digital media!

Here you will find the bulk of un-edited archived images in erotica and fine art with exceptions of my Net ‘watermark’, occasional prop, ‘graphics’ added, crop factor and monochrome conversion where applicable; there are no false corrections of skin tone saturations. All shots here are studio using a variety of film, 35 mm, Rangefinders, Medium format and digital cameras demonstrating exacting fine art nudes.

Important issues in creating fine art in a given situation from any natural environment to studio elements are the lighting, this can be available naturally or artificially inspired combined with angle of composition and general perception in developing the desired shot.

What is ‘fine art nude’?

There are many interpretations of imaging regarding ‘fine art’ and how it is applied in photography. This quote probably sums up any subjective matter well! "I do not think that it is wise, at this stage of understanding, to attempt to propose a precise definition of consciousness, but we can rely, to good measure, on our subjective impressions and intuitive common sense as to what the term means." A quote made by Sir Roger Penrose in his book ‘The Emperor’s New Mind’ and is a very suitable adaptation of any subjective term such as in ‘fine art nude’.

The credibility of fine art nude photography may best be described as timeless art of human endurance without the fundamental scenario of boredom of model in typical stance of ‘standing, sitting or laying down on a rock or wrapped around a tree highlighting the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside with model poised in glamorous terms rather than how does the model blend in harmony with background’. Fine art nude are elements in displaying the human torso in its many facets by studying body contours, muscle movement, colour, lighting effects, direct framing and timing to capture the impossible, the raw ‘naked ape’ at its best whether it be studio or location work!
