The fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 was the moment that inspired the then 23-year-old Steffen Diemer to become a photographer.

Since then, he has worked for agencies in Cape Town, Berlin, London and Hamburg, as well as for major companies around the world. His pictures have appeared in the pages of major magazines and periodicals, in Germany and worldwide.

In 2008, Steffen was honoured with Albania's State Award for Photography.

Steffen always has had a love for fashion. What fascinates him is the ever-changing and diverse interpretation of fashion among designers. He enjoys observing how clothes become alive on different people. For him, fashion is attractive, seductive and supportive to the personality of the man or woman wearing it.

Steffen has a natural ability to get close to people; to win their trust. This is why his pictures are so absorbing. He captures the beauty of both the person and the clothes in such a way as to create a desire to be that person in those clothes.
