My world is covered in makeup. Where most people might see a painting, a ladybug, or a piece of fabric, I see inspiration for my next look. I love doing makeup so much that if I don't have something booked for a couple of days, I show up at a friend's house with my kit and say "Can I try something on you?"

I'm a licensed esthetician and freelance makeup artist in Rhode Island. I do a lot of weddings, which is great, but I also really love the more creative side of makeup artistry. I think it's important to talk to other artists and, excuse me if this sounds corny, inspire each other. There is always a new technique to learn or a different way to use a tool, and I enjoy seeing other people's work.

I've worked office jobs that eat away at your soul, 40 hours at a time, and I don't want that. But if I have to wake up at 4:00am for a makeup job, I do it with a smile. I feel so lucky that I'm able to do something I love.
