As a photographer I am primarily interested in portraiture, fashion, editorial, fine art nudes and travel photography.
I am great admirer of the work of Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Edward Weston, Ruth Bernhard, Bill Brandt, Irving Penn, Arnold Newmann, David Bailey, Albert Watson and Ellen von Unwerth, just to name a few.
Please Note: A significant amount of my work is nude and implied nude. That does not mean however, that I am only interested in shooting nudes.

I love working with models who bring ideas and inject their own personality into a shoot. A great shoot for me is a creative collaboration, and I enjoy working with fellow artists who share their imagination, energy and spontaneity.
If you are a model, make-up artist, hair stylist or fashion stylist with a great concept and you are bringing creativity and other collaborators to the table, I would love to hear your ideas. Whether on location or in my studio space, I am actively seeking other creative partners and industry professionals to work with.
As well as being a photographer, I'm a published writer and a documentary filmmaker, with an emphasis on cultural anthropology and popular culture, particularly regarding tattoos and body art.
I run one of the internet's largest and most popular tattoo-related websites,
http://www.vanishingtattoo.com (twenty million visitors a year) and I'm passionate about collecting and recording the history of tattooing, from traditional indigenous styles to the latest trends within popular culture.
As a special interest, I'd very much like to work with models who have body art and provide a place for photographers to showcase their work that portrays body art. I am working on an ongoing portrait series of people with body art, The Tattoo Project: body. art. image.

Schiffer Books published the first volume of the Tattoo Project, and it is available on Amazon.com and fine book sellers everywhere.

CHAPERONE POLICY:
I don't have a problem if you want to bring a chaperone as long as they are willing to help out or stay out of the way.
