I'm just beginning my work as a fine artist (I am originally a poet), and I am working on my portfolio. My mediums vary from charcoal and pastel chalk sketching, to film and photography, to acrylic paint. One of my approaches is to do portraits of famous dead people by having my models dress up as notable historical figures of art, politics, and thought.
I joined this site for two reasons. One of those reasons is that it possesses a large database of photographs that I might look through and gain insight and inspiration, the other reason is so that I can meet varying models who might be interested in working with me. As I said I've only just recently (over the past few months) begun work as a fine artist, so I am not well known and my style has not yet fully formed, but I'm making terrific progress and I certainly need some experience working with models.
