My name is Kelly or K.C. I graduated a year ago from CSU Stanislaus with my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, a lot of my undergraduate work dealt with photography and painting. The photos I have posted are my work although all are of me. My goal is to recreate some of the 1950s style pinup work done by artist like George Petty, but to add a modern twist to them so they embody the style and attitude of young women today. I like the work of Olivia de Berardinis, but I want to tone down the sexuality of the subject matter, yet use her style of painting. I think we have come to a place in fashion where I can create an honest representation of what we women are like now and still use that pinup feel as a template. I feel like those images from the 1950’s era are a priceless documentation of women in history, and I am searching for female models who can help me create an image to document women today.
