I love working with creative clients who are willing to brainstorm ideas to come up with a product that stands out and looks original, but I also really enjoy working with bands and amateur models because I'm able to make the photo shoot relaxed and personal. While I do have studio experience, I prefer to shoot on location in unusual places with creative lighting. I've been shooting with my Nikon D200 for several years and have shot in various kinds of film for ten years. I've found that the more fun everyone has with a shoot, the better the finished product. That's why I like to take my models on 'adventures'; searching out locations on the spot and thinking of new ideas even as we are shooting. I work quickly and efficiently during post production to keep costs low and to get the product in my client's hands as soon as possible. My style suits the model; from abstract and macabre to bright and straightforward. My use of creative lighting and utilizing available light sources make for highly original work; not just the same old brightly-lit glamor shots you always see. One of my specialties for portrait photography is light-painting: the use of flashlights and long exposure in a dark environment.
