About me
!!!!!!!!!!!!READ MY PROFILE!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, lets see how clear I can make all this.

I am a person who makes a living doing photography. I am not an accountant with a camera, or a lawyer with a camera. I do not shoot fashion for a living; I shoot sports. I am a UH alumni as well, GO COOGS!!!

I do not have weekends free. I usually have one or maybe two days during the week I can shoot. I am tired of getting ready for a shoot just to get flaked on. I have always been a guy who says if I will be there, I will actually be there. I do not reschedule in my life if I make a commitment; I show up. It seems so simple. It has always been simple.

For me, this type of photography is not that complicated, neither is it that simple. Let me explain. When the first question I get is "What do you want to shoot?" I never seem to say the right thing. I am a Texan. Not some fashion designer. Also, I have no idea what you have in your closet. I don't buy women's clothing so wardrobe is up to you, tell me what you would like to try. I am game to work with most clean and classy styles. My end is the lighting, shooting, and processing. I handle my end very well, in my humble opinion.

In all of our profiles it says what genres we shoot. If you don't want to shoot it, take it off your profile.

I have never hit on any of my models. Neither have I asked them to do anything raunchy. I shoot sports and models under the same name. I shoot kids sports, if their parents saw raunchy work when they Google me they would probably wonder about me. This is for fun, that is for rent. I'd rather make sure I keep a good clean image for them, and my wife, over getting some sleazy shots. There is an internet full of porn if I need it.

I hope that covers most of the issues I have seen. Right now I am running a flake rate of about 90%. I'm tired of keeping a day clear for a shoot just to hear the kinds of excuses I typically hear.

If all that scares you off; GOOD! I don't want to work with you. If not, lets shoot. I have references below. I can provide dozens more upon request. I am a very friendly guy, but I am also serious about my commitments, I am tired of spending and keeping time available for people who are not the same. I would rather shoot with people who understand I do not pay to shoot, or plan everything out, over spending weeks setting something up for a flake.

Abdul Khan is the best photographer I have ever worked with! He is friendly and extremely accommodating to the model's ideas while mixing in part of his unique outlook through the lens. His unrivaled photography style mixed with his creativity makes for incredibly beautiful portraits. His love for photography is reflected in his meticulous editing with every photo. His knowledge of lighting composition helps to create a fantastic aura that highlights the beauty of every model. Anyone who works with Abdul will be ecstatic with the resulting photographs!

I have worked several hours very closely with Abdul during multiple photo shoots. During that time Abdul demonstrated a very professional demeanor. He was extremely knowledgeable on the operation of lighting, photo aperture, and speed. During the photo shoots he easily explained these complex numbers and terms in a very understandable manner for which I quickly learned how to model best for the camera. His work is very calculated, concise, yet exquisitely artful and beautifully captured. I have been modeling for over a year now with over a dozen photographers. Abdul Khan has been one of my best photographers and I highly recommend him to other models.
Sincerely,
Mattie

I have worked with Bark Imaging twice so far and each time has been a wonderful experience! Abdul is on his way to becoming a well-known photographer both for his eye for detail and his professionalism. He is very easy and comfortable to work with and will figure out your best angles quickly. I definitely recommend him to you, if you are a professional model or if you are just testing the modeling waters!

If the photographer-model chemistry is excellent, an amazing photoshoot with great shots is inevitable. Working with Abdul Khan has been such a breeze. He established a phenomenal comfort level with me, as his model, at the very first shoot we did together. Being in front of the camera can be rather nerve wrecking at times, however Abdul’s refined encouragement and positive feedback makes any shoot fly by quickly. His knowledge of his art is endless and his work portrays his skill flawlessly. Abdul’s superior sense of direction has helped me come up with some of my best poses, and he has captured each and every one of those poses with his keen eye and later turned them into beautiful photographs. It has been and always will be a pleasure working with Abdul Khan and I hope his talent shines as bright as he is himself.

--------------------

I had a great experience shooting with Abdul. I was a fan of his work before ever having the opportunity to meet him, and I was pleasantly surprised at his easy-going nature and creative eye. The shoot was an amazing learning experience for me, and I came away with a greater knowledge of lighting, posing and Houstonian history (which I think gave him an upper-hand at picking the perfect shooting locale). Abdul freely gave constructive criticism & direction and tweaked each pose to perfection; I can’t wait to shoot with him again!
