About Me

I am Zachary van Buuren.
Currently a student exploring ways to better myself as a photographer. I have been practicing for a decade, playing with what I can do capturing images.
I know I love it, I adore the medium and am intrigued by the science and aesthetics of this format. I first learned what I can do with film, how to compose what I want to appear as a picture in the darkroom. I believe there is something magical about arranging silver particles with light to create an image. I feel the same way about manipulating electricity to form a pattern that can be read by a computer to capture a similar picture. I like knowing how my tools work and using them to a full extent.
