About me
California Girls Skateboards is an ongoing photography project inspired by fluorescent images of girls on rad 1980s skateboards and the upbeat "look" and "vibe" of Hollywood. From it's inception, the project has been a little corny, a little silly, and it originated from laughter, sunshine, beaches, beautiful girls and, most important of all, the joy of skateboarding!

MODEL REQUIREMENTS:
• These are all bikini shoots, so the model must be traditional all-American bikini-model-material.
• Just girls. Sorry, male models, but "Beefcake Boys Skateboards" isn't what we're about.
• You don't have to actually live in California, but that helps.
• Be willing to be interviewed on video. Every single girl has a video clip on our website. Check out the clips at:

WARDROBE:
The "look" established for all models of California Girls Skateboards is triangular slide-top, tie-bottom, solid-color bikinis. You will be provided the bikini for the shoot and you can keep it.
PAY:
Yes, you get paid. In addition to being paid for the shoot, there is an affiliate program where you can post links on your own websites and get royalties from every board and poster and tshirt you sell. I won't lie or promise you'll make tons of royalties, but it's true to say the potential for a lot of extra money is there, if you promote yourself enough.
TIME:
Typically, it's a 1-hour shoot.
LOCATION:
The Greater Los Angeles area. Anywhere from the beaches to the mountains.
HAIR & MAKEUP:
The models are expected to do their own hair and makeup. These are simple "natural-look" photo sessions. No need for anything elaborate.
ESCORTS/CHAPERONS:
Legitimate models never require "escorts" or "chaperons" at work, but they frequently have assistants. Models are always welcome to bring their assistants along.
TIMETABLE:
This is an ongoing project, but that doesn't mean it's a non-stop project. I do take breaks from time to time - sometimes for months. So, if I am interested in working with you, but you don't hear back for ages, that doesn't mean I'm lying. It just means I may not be shooting with anyone at all for awhile.
