I am an aspring model that is transitioning into show business. High fashion is a scarce world for Black/African British models today. Most agencies want to to be unhealthily skinny, or do "urban" fashion only. It's sad, but the modeling industry is one that waves a banner still in 2010 that says "its a black-white world". I would like to focus more of my energy on promotional/spokes/fashion modeling, but of course like many I have a dream/goal to sign that big contract one day that will land jobs everywhere and be known world wide within the next few years. Model Mayhem has been a great avenue for making new contacts and with your help, I will accomplish my goal. I enjoy being infront of the camera because I like the challange of portraying a unique person and giveing that false person LIFE! Fun fun FUN. Really, there is no persona I cannot fit.
I am completely mesmerized by an alternative model known as Chanel Iman, So much that I must give her her own note:) Her passion for the industry as well as her experience as an Alternative model should make her a role model for all alternative models around the world. I've seen her photos and I must say she seems to be ageless not to mention stunning.
