About Me

Veronica Sheaffer is a Chicago designer, who has built a reputation for classic, feminine design with thoughtful, unexpected details. Beginning as a self-taught dressmaker, she launched her brand of handcrafted gowns and accessories in 2010. Since then, she’s become a favorite among fashion-forward clients, and her work has been featured in numerous publications and blogs (NY Magazine's The Cut, Martha Stewart Weddings, Bridal Guide Magazine, Style Me Pretty, ELLE China, People and many others).

She began her career by launching Coco Irene-a women's clothing and accessories line-with friend Taryn Parker, where she was Creative Director and Designer. Coco Irene received fast attention from many publications and television shows-such as Lucky Magazine and Good Morning America Now-and during that time, countless brides began approaching Veronica for custom gowns - traveling from around the United States to work with her.

Veronica also created and authored the popular blog, My Hands Made It, where she documented the launch of her bridal line, along with many home and wedding decor tutorials, and received praise from Apartment Therapy, Ruffled and others. Now, she can be found writing and laughing on the recently launched How Old is Too Old with friend Molly Marcucci.

Veronica has contributed to books for Penguin Books Australia, produced creative content for corporate clients and is experienced as an on-set tailor in Chicago.
