When I was a kid, I had one of those flat compact cameras that take film cartridges. I don't remember taking any pictures with it, I think I mainly just carried it around and pretended to be a pro photographer. And besides a couple photography classes in middle school and high school, I had no training outside of "independent study". Now, I'm going to college for it and I couldn't be more excited about what the future may bring. I also got a DSLR a few years ago, which has certainly been an experience unto itself. I would love to one day open my own gallery -- call me a dreamer :)
