James West is a British photographer based in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire. James works mainly throughout the North of England and from time to time further south and in London.
Specialises in a range of areas such as music based photography, documentary, portraits, fashion, live events and art photography. He takes on a range of promotional commissions and offers reduced prices to un-signed bands and other beginning creatives that require photos.
Clients include a large number of signed and unsigned bands, along with festivals, publications, venues and organizations from across the U.K, such as Powerplay magazine, Harrogate International Center, Limetree Festival, Damnation Festival, Death Fest, Purple Parallelogram Promotions and the RAF Photographic Section and currently is a contributing photographer for Vibrations magazine. Often works in all manner of places from fields and squats to royal halls and air fields.
Has also been involved in 3 group exhibitions at Harewood House, The Harrogate International Exhibition Centre and at the Leeds Central Library Exhibition space.
Also holds a BA (hons) in Photography and Digital Imaging.
