I'm a photographer based in Los Angeles, though I grew up in Hawaii. I think my upbringing brings a openness and vulnerability to my work. I like to create a connection with the subject.

I do test and do personal work. I am very selective with who I cast and almost always go through agencies. Send me a message to let me know you exist with an email and phone number and I'll contact you when I have a project. I'll give preference to agency models. Please provide me with the agency and a contact there.

If you are a model, make up artist or stylist and I add you as a friend it means that I like the work you do. Or I just think you are cool ; ). If you're a photographer it means I admire your work or already know you.
Info on test shoots: I occasionally have personal projects with a specific concept in place. I may require a model that looks just like you! I don't guarantee that you'll get such and such number of images from the shoot because sometimes test shoots are awesome, sometimes they are...not as awesome. If you are a hair/make up/wardrobe stylist with an idea let's talk.
Tests will only be in the following genre's: beauty and fashion/lifestyle. Not everyone qualifies for everything, and knowing the requirements for these markets is important if you want to find your place within them.
-For everything else (headshots, glamour, portrait, promotional, commercial) email me for my half day, day and package rates. I have testing rates for agency models. Have them get in touch with me: tommy@tommyshihphoto.com
