About Me

When people ask me how long I've been shooting I tell them all my life. But it actually only started when I was only 17 years old and my parents went on a vacation to Northern California. When they returned home, they told all of us five kids that they bought a home off the coast near Big Sur, CA. It was close to Monterey and Pebble Beach. They said it was so clean and beautiful nothing like we had ever seen before. They said it was comparable to a paradise…a Garden of Eden and know that we would love it there and soon call it our home. We were also told to start packing immediately and to do our spring cleaning now. We were leaving in less than two months. I thought at first this is not happening, it must be a joke or some trick. Maybe it was just a bad dream or someone had made a mistake. But it was all so true, I was being forced to leave the only home I had ever known but mostly all of the friends that I had grown up with, played baseball, went camping with, rode bicycles all around the neighborhood, not to mention the new girl that had moved in across the street earlier that summer. We were dating and just getting to know each other, I was in love, or at least that is what I thought I was. I was born and raised in Meridian and often visited New Orleans, La where we had many relatives on my mom’s side. I decided that I needed to get a camera so I could take pictures of everyone and everything I knew. I had to do this or I would never survive. I had to keep as many memories of my life as a child and all of my friends, places I use to go, and pictures were the best way to do that. So I bought my first camera a Polaroid and Kodak in the early days when I was experimenting. That is when I found my true passion in photography. I decided to pursue a career in photography and my family supported me all the way. Why not do what you love and looked forward to and get paid for it. I could meet interesting people, travel, and see the world. Well maybe, I had a strong ambition... First it was only a serious hobby and finally a serious profession. I attended school in the East Bay on and off over the past six years and this year will receive my bachelor’s degree. What started out as a serious hobby will end a serious profession. I have had a part time job working as a photojournalist while in school. My studies have included digital photography and photo editing software, photo journalism, fashion photography, illustrations and fine art. My style is to evoke as many of your senses and emotions as possible. For people, I strive to create an image that reflects the uniqueness of each individual. No two people are alike, so no two photos are alike. I am joining this site to meet other people and offer my services to models on here. I want to learn from others and possibly make long term friends with other members.
