I’m from a small town in NC.I graduated from high school in 2002 and immediately joined the Navy. While in the Navy, my first ten months were spent in college at NC State University, from there it was off to boot camp. I got married right after that to my childhood friend. I then started my career as Nuclear Mechanic, which was another 2 years of schooling. Just as school ended I was transferred to my first ship. After being married for 4 years my husband passed away. That’s when I sank down into a depression. Makeup became my life line, helping me stay out of the dumps of depression. I used it as my crutch to stand on when I could not hold myself up. I had lost the confidence I had in myself and my self-esteem was at an all time low. I would practice my makeup when I couldn’t do anything else. I have been enjoying it ever since. I received training from Koren Zander and Elessa Vovann (EnKore and PurseBuzz of YouTube) in Pro Makeup Artistry and Pro AirBrush.
