During a 5 year assignment in Europe, Amiroux honed his portrait drawing skills working the streets, cafes and studios of Paris, Bruxelles and Amsterdam. He's had one man shows in Paris and Bruxelles, and has had works accepted in juried shows in San Diego and Marietta, GA. He wins awards now and then, accepts commissions when it looks interesting, and most of the time creates art that strikes his fancy.

Amiroux's alter ego in international business has facilitated close encounters & live sketches of several US congress men & women, then president Clinton "Hey, that's very good", the mayor of Moscow, and various and assorted other earthlings.

Amiroux has participated in portrait drawing for non-profit fundraisers and provides demonstrations at local schools.

The fun is in the planning and execution. When a work is done - it's not nearly as much fun. It's time for another one. He usually has several works in various states of beginning.
