About Me

People ask me all the time how I got started with the whole photography thing. Well I'm not sure exactly. I do remember as a child seeing all these amazing photographs of my elders some long gone at my grandmother’s house. I use to wonder who the heck these people were, I'd ask to which they'd reply " boi dats yo cousin _____!.... Na leave me alone!" At the time I could never figure why we had so many pictures of people who anybody under 30 couldn't even recognize. As I got older (15-16) I thought well these pictures are moments, moments of great emotion be it great or remiss. I mean people like to show what they are feeling in photographs, they can't help it. Just try to fake a feeling in front of a camera! Sure it may come across but the eyes wont lie. Fast-forward to today I really haven’t thought too much about the photographer on the other side of the image, as most don't. The Photographer has a lot of power on an image he has the power to create EMOTION for the eye to read. To me a camera is like an instrument that stops time for only a second and, captures the beauty of the moment. I really don’t even like having to use such a cumbersome piece of equipment but, I do wanna remember the feeling I had at the moment of capture. I'm not a photographer I'm an artist who can't draw.
