Thanks for stopping by! I've been creating artwork ever since I was a child and received my formal training at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design as well as studying privately with many prominent artists throughout the country.
My style has been heavily influenced by the Impressionist masters such as Monet, Sargent, and Caillebotte and equally influenced by artists Dan Gerhartz, CW Mundy, and Rob Liberace, who are currently at the forefront of the American art scene. I believe that a painting should look like a painting and the use of impasto and intrepid brushstrokes help create that "painterly" look, while still staying true to representational art.
I have exhibited my artwork in shows and galleries but the majority of sales comes from commission pieces, which are in private collections all across the country. I've had the good fortune to be able to travel and live throughout the United States, including Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, and Illinois, but the "coulees" of Southwest Wisconsin is where I've called home for the past 14 years.
My family resides in the countryside outside of Lafarge and we spend our time gardening, growing organic produce, canning, and home-schooling our three children. My studio is tucked in the hillside overlooking a bubbling trout stream and provides an abundance of peace, quiet, and serenity for creating art.
I am always looking for models who enjoy longer poses for drawing and painting. Please give me a shout and we can discuss options!
