Hello, I'm Selina Justine of Halfhearted Zombie Makeup & FX. I specialize in the abstract, eyecatching, and disturbing.
I'm a
certified makeup artist fluent in every kind of technique and tool. I dabble in hairstyling as well, although I've had minimal training. I love what I do, and that inspires me to be the very best that I can be. I'm new to the industry, but forever willing to learn, expand, and grow. Makeup is my creative outlet and I put all of my effort into every project I do, however simple it may be. I like to be as involved as possible in everything I partake in. You'll often see me making coffee runs, holding light reflectors, and helping with wardrobe.
I do everything- from beauty makeup to special effects to body painting- but every makeup look I create has one thing in common: it is transformational.
I completed the Master Makeup Course at Blush School of Makeup [San Francisco] in July 2011. I completed the Prosthetics and Advanced Special Effects Makeup programs at Cinema Makeup School [Los Angeles] in May 2012. I've been thoroughly trained in face shapes, corrective techniques, multi-cultural skin tones, color theory, disinfection and sanitation, skin types, and countless other courses. I have access to tons of materials, including an effects lab. I also own an airbrush. For those that have been searching for a professional, look no further.
