*Recently I became an editor at ESPN.com in Los Angeles. Though I'm not shooting full-time anymore I still do lots of freelance commercial work (seems like I'm getting more freelance work now that I have a full-time gig... go figure).
I've been a working photographer for the past 21 years.
Started as a darkroom tech for Thrasher Magazine (1990) then founded Slap Magazine in 1992. I was the editor and chief photographer for Slap and contributing editor/photographer for Thrasher and Juxtapos magazines.
I've traveled the world several times over and ended up in Los Angeles.
Within the last few years I've been freelancing for The Associated Press and Getty Images, a set photographer for the film "Casting By", shot for several Action Sport companies (DC, Vans, DQM, Sole Technologies, etc...) and managed celebrity stylist Monica Rose's blog and online boutique at revolveclothing.com. I've shown in galleries in Japan, Australia, France and throughout the US. I'm also a contributing photo editor for Rustymetric.com and I predominately shoot music, portraits and editorial.
Photography is how I make my living, it's not a hobby. I like to work quick and simple, have fun and be light hearted.
My 20+ years as a photographer has been spent shooting action, but I'm increasingly getting jobs shooting lifestyle and catalog work (and lately head shots). I'm looking to work with more artists on a variety of lifestyle, swimwear, glamor, high-key fashion and human form shots. Email me if you're in the So.Cal area and interested in shooting- my rates are reasonable and I'll TFP if you have a great idea or an interesting look.
* I'm also in need of interesting faces for an on-going portrait project.
