Figurative painter, interested in movement and theatricality. Influences include Fischl, Hopper, Draper, Goddard, etc, etc. Trained as an architect. My works tend to be large, use acrylic and strong colour, and I can work from photos but prefer to have many angles, so either lots of photos taken in context or in studio to base a painting on, or a live model is what tends to work best. Figure studies and portraits are my current focus.
