About Me

For me, working with the female form is an intimate interchange, a collaboration of feelings. It remains a fragile path - for the model and the photographer to put the strength of feeling into a finished work - so there is an innate gamble. At the same time, the process is about adventurous play with a purpose. In the end, we hope to translate through the image a sense of significance, that the viewer may identify with, though difficult to put into words.

Keywords might be- mystery and myth, provocative and inward looking, eros and innocence. Always natural and simple. Less about the shape of the model, and more about what is expressed from inside. Never glitzy, or fashionable. Instead, edgy, dark, moody. Not contrived, expressing truth.

My largest body of work is in the still life genre. I enjoy working with flora, in black & white, and color. I approach my work with the female form similar to working with a still life of a flower or a leaf. Slowly, with natural light, with admiration. I use digital cameras, but oftentimes I use antique film cameras for their unique look. I print work on my large-format Epson printers, on beautiful papers.

I have made fine art photography full-time since 1991. My work is represented by galleries and art consultants, and has been collected in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Japan.

I would like to collaborate with models who have awe and respect for beauty that can be translated into art. Leave the world for a time, have fun, create a new look.
